LATEST @ 5.15am December 15 | The death toll from the Bondi Beach terrorist attack has risen to 16, including one child.
Two gunmen opened fire as thousands gathered on Sunday night for a Jewish celebration.
One gunmen is amongst those dead, while another is in custody and amongst the dozens of people injured.
A number of explosives were also found at the scene, but did not detonate.
Heavily armed police have raided a home in Sydney’s west overnight, believed to be one of the alleged shooters residence.
ASIO is investigating the backgrounds of the shooters, and has confirmed one of the shooters had been on their radar.
Despite the incident, there will be no change to Australia’s terror threat level.
Meantime, Queensland Police has confirmed it’s closely monitoring the situation and has reached out to leaders of the state’s Jewish community.
Police have boosted patrols around places of worship and significance to the Jewish community across Queensland.
World leaders have reacted to the shooting overnight, including King Charles who has taken to social media to say he and Queen Camilla are “appalled and saddened”.
The Prince and Princess of Wales, and the UK Prime Minister have also expressed their horror.
Donald Trump has also paid respect to the victims, labelling the shooting “terrible” and “purely anti-semitic”.

The Prime Minister has condemned the targeted attack on the Hanukkah celebration, “an attack on Jewish Australians is an attack on all Australians.”
Anthony Albanese says there is no place for hatred, violence or terrorism in the nation.

12 people have been confirmed deceased with 29 injured transported to hospitals in the area.
It is understood the attack was designed to target the Jewish community.
This has been declared a terrorist incident.
A third offender is being investigated currently.

Ten people have been confirmed dead following a shooting at Bondi Beach.
One of the shooters is amongst those dead, while a second shooter is in custody, in a critical condition.
It’s understood two gunmen opened fire from a bridge off Campbell Parade in the heart of Bondi at about 6.45pm.
A further 11 people are reported to be injured, two of which are police officers.
The shooting occurred during a Jewish community event on the beach organised for the first night of Hanukkah.
“A number of suspicious items located in the vicinity are being examined by specialist officers and an exclusion zone is in place,” a NSW Police statement reads.
“A multi-agency response is continuing,
“An extensive crime scene has been established and inquiries are now underway.There have been NO reports of any other incidents in Sydney connected to this incident.”
Footage has shown what appears to be a hero bystander take down one of the shooters, and disarm him.
It’s not clear if this man is an off-duty police officer or a member of the public.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has described the shooting as “shocking and distressing”.
