The bad run of injuries continues for the Gold Coast Suns with the AFL club confirming Connor Budarick has ruptured his ACL again.
The third-year defender was involved in a collision in the final quarter of their clash with Collingwood on Saturday night and was rushed from the field.
Scans have since confirmed a rupture to his ACL in his right knee.
The club’s head physio Lindsay Bull said Budarick will miss the rest of the season as he begins rehab.
“Further assessment of Connor’s knee confirmed he’s ruptured ACL, which will require surgery to repair,” he said.
“It’s really disappointing news for Connor who injured the same knee early in the 2021 season.”
“We’re all behind Connor as he begins his recovery and we know he will attack his rehab with full conviction as he has done in the past.”
Ben Ainsworth will also be monitored throughout the week after suffering an ankle injury late in the Pies clash.
In some good news, Jack Lukosius made a comeback from his PCL injury in the VFL on the weekend and will train fully this week.
