Sacked former Gold Coast Titans captain Kevin Proctor has expressed his remorse over a mid-game vaping incident that has ended his time at the club.
Proctor filmed himself vaping in what appears to be a toilet cubicle at halftime in the Titans-Bulldogs clash at CommBank Stadium on Sunday.
The 33-year-old was not playing in the game, however, smoking is banned in all stadiums.
The Titans acted swiftly after the social media video came to light moving to sever ties with Proctor.
Out of contract at the end of the season, the club relieved Proctor of all club commitments for the rest of the season.

Proctor has since broken his silence on the incident.
“I am embarrassed with regards to my actions,” Proctor said.
“I would like to thank the Titans for their understanding and acknowledging my personal situation.
“I wish Justin and my teammates all the very best for the rest of the year.
“I would like to thank owners Daryl Kelly and Rebecca Frizelle for their support over the years and all the Titans fans.”
Proctor is expected to pursue opportunities in the UK Superleague for 2023.
