A man has been charged over the broad daylight attack of a former bikie boss in the car park of a Gold Coast Bunnings.

Former Nomads boss Moudi Tajjour was allegedly assaulted by Mongols gang members at the Nerang business on around 12.45pm on Saturday.

The 38-year-old was left in hospital with head injuries.

Tajjour quickly took to social media to declare he’s coming out of underworld retirement as he seeks revenge, sparking fears of a new bikie war, but he has since backed away from those comments.

On Monday afternoon, Queensland Police confirmed detectives had arrested a 31-year-old man at a home in Park Ridge over the incident.

He was since been charged with one count of assault occasioning bodily harm in company and one count of possession of a dangerous drug.

He will appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
