Fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a large house fire in Hollywell overnight.
The blaze erupted at a property on Columbus Drive just before 11pm, with multiple crews rushing to the scene.
Thankfully all residents managed to get out of the house in time, however, a man in his 30s was taken to hospital with an ankle injury.
Initial investigations suggest an electric vehicle charging device could be to blame for sparking the blaze, however investigations are ongoing.
The blaze broke out just hours after another Gold Coast home was destroyed in a massive inferno at Benowa.
The home along The Boulevarde erupted into flames just after midday on Sunday, with more than 20 firefighters battling the blaze for over an hour and a half.
Fortunately, they managed to stop the flames from spreading to neighbouring properties.
One person was assessed at the scene by paramedics but did not require further treatment in hospital.
