The Magic Millions Yearling Sales have wrapped up in Bundall, with a whopping $212.8 million exchanging hands over the week-long event.

The top price for a horse sold at this year’s sale was a cool $2 million, with a colt by superstar sire Extreme Choice and another colt by champion international sire Frankel both going under the hammer for the eye-watering figure.

In total, 932 lots were sold at an average price of $228,407.

On the racecourse, jockey Thomas Stockdale rode Unit Five to a stunning victory in the 3m Magic Millions 2YO Classic, while Torque To Be Sure took out the $3m Guineas.

Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said he couldn’t have been happier with how the entire carnival played out.

“It’s been the most incredible carnival. From the Gold Raceday to the Pacific Fair Polo and Showjumping, the Barrier Draw and of course TAB Magic Millions Raceday.”

“That alongside an incredibly successful sale has made it a hugely successful event.

“My team at Magic Millions have worked tirelessly and helped deliver the most remarkable event – I am so proud of them all.”
