Teens injured in violent assault on northern Gold Coast street

A violent assault on the northern Gold Coast has left two teenagers injured.

Initial investigations suggest around 1.30pm on Sunday, an unknown amount of people became involved in a fight with a 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy on Cobb Cresent.

Those responsible then fled the scene in a black Chery Tiggo and remain on the run.

The 15-year-old boy suffered a laceration to his left arm and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, while the 13-year-old sustained minor injuries.

Police are appealing for anyone with relevant information, CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
