Burleigh street shut down after man barricades himself inside home

A police incident is unfolding on a Gold Coast street this evening after a man barricaded himself inside a home.

Emergency crews were called to Deodar Drive in Burleigh Heads around 6.30pm on Tuesday following reports of a man making threats.

The man has since holed himself up inside a property, with tactical response police, fire crews and paramedics all on scene.
