Five teens have been charged over a brazen crime spree across the Gold Coast and Brisbane that ended with a police vehicle being rammed.

The gang is accused of breaking into a home on Tosti Street in Bundall around 2am on April 7 before stealing a black Mercedes-Benz GLE450 from the property.

The vehicle was then used in a string of home break-ins and attempted break-ins across Brisbane a few hours later.

The stolen car then made its way back to the Gold Coast where it rammed a police vehicle on Stephens Street in Upper Coomera before it was eventually intercepted nearby on Reserve Road.

The five teens were taken into custody at the scene and charged with a string of offences.

A 16-year-old Park Ridge boy is facing seven counts of burglary, while a 17-year-old Browns Plains boy has been charged with 18 counts of burglary, eight counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of fraud.

A 17-year-old Upper Coomera boy has been charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, two counts of burglary, and one count of obstruct police, while a 14-year-old Pimpama boy has been charged with ten counts of burglary, four counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and one count of fraud.

An 18-year-old Oxenford man has also been charged with 17 counts of burglary, two counts of robbery, and one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, wilful damage, and attempted robbery.

All five were due to appear in court yesterday.
