A female driver has been rushed to hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition following a horror early morning crash with a truck in Surfers Paradise.
Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Ferny Ave and Beach Rd in Surfers Paradise around 4.30am on Monday following reports of a serious collision.
Two people were assessed at the scene including the driver of the car, who was initially trapped in the wreckage.
She was eventually freed before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition.

The impact of the crash also caused the truck to roll, however the driver managed to escape serious injury.
He was taken to hospital in a stable condition with back pain.
Police remain on scene diverting northbound traffic through to Peninsular Drive.
Investigations into how the crash occurred are now underway.
