Charges have finally been laid against over a violent stabbing on the Gold Coast several months ago.
Emergency services were called to a home in Molendinar around 7.30pm on November 6 and found a 17-year-old boy who had been stabbed in the chest.
He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The two alleged offenders fled the scene in a white Mercedes-Benz utility before police arrived, with the vehicle later sighted on Cotlew Street, Ashmore before being found dumped at a business on Marine Parade, Labrador a short time later.
At the time of the incident, police believed an ongoing dispute over a debt may have been to blame.
Following extensive investigations, a 33-year-old Molendinar man has been charged with one count of acts intended to maim, disfigure or disable.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
Investigations are continuing.
