Police are investigating two separate robberies targeting tobacco shops in Logan.

Two masked men entered a store on Kingston Rd in Slacks Creek just before midnight on Tuesday, threatening a staff member with a knife.

The thieves stole several cartons of cigarettes before escaping out the back door of the shop.

The staff member was not injured in the incident.

The offenders were described as being of Pacific Islander appearance with solid builds.

Around 2.15am on Wednesday Police were called to another tobacco shop on Pub Lane in Greenbank.

Three offenders had reportedly used power tools to gain entry to the store.

The thieves have managed to steal money from an ATM inside before fleeing in a white Mazda SUV.

Investigations into both incidents are continuing.

Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Police.
