Police are investigating two early-morning break-ins at tobacconists on the Gold Coast.
Officers were called to Alexander Drive at Highland Park around 1.30am, after a store had it’s front doors smashed in.
The offenders took off with a stash of cigarettes.
Another tobacconist on Discovery Drive at Helensvale was targeted about 45 minutes later, when two men attempted to force their way in.
The front door was damaged, but the pair failed to get in.
Investigations continue into whether the two break-ins are linked.
No arrests have been made yet.
