A man has been arrested over a wild stolen car rampage from Logan to the Gold Coast.
The man is accused of crashing a stolen 2012 BMW X3 station-wagon into the back of a 2024 Kia Carnival station-wagon whilst travelling northbound on the M1 at Underwood around 4am on Thursday.
He’s then alleged to have carjacked the driver of the Kia while armed with a knife before stealing the vehicle.
Police tracked the car to the Gold Coast where officers deployed tyre spikes at Southport around 9.30am.
The man then fled the scene on foot but was tracked down to a nearby hospital where he was taken into custody.
Charges are yet to be laid, with investigations ongoing.
