Police have tracked down two reckless jetski riders accused of causing havoc on the Nerang River over the weekend.

The teenage boys were filmed hooning through the water near Surfers Paradise on Sunday afternoon and spraying a tinnie, causing it to capsize.

Two boys, aged 10 and 14, were thrown into the water, sparking a frantic rescue.

“Police attended and assisted the uninjured occupants, two boys aged 14 and 10, with the recovery of the vessel,” Queensland Police said.

Following investigations, police have managed to identify the operators of the jet skis as two boys aged 15 and 16.

Both are facing charges of dangerous operation of a vessel and assault.
