A pub on the Gold Coast which has been a local staple for nearly 30 years has been sensationally reinvigorated following a year-long renovation.

Diamonds Tavern Varsity Lakes has unveiled a brand-new outdoor deck just in time for summer, capping off an extensive refurbishment of the venue.

The new look venue, which is situated at the corner of Bermuda Street and Christine Avenue, has been a popular meeting place and watering hole for the local community since its inception in the 1990s, and now it’s prepared for this generation and the next as the Gold Coast population continues to boom.

Over the last year, Diamonds has welcomed a new public bar complete with a mega screen for sports, alongside an upgraded bistro and now an all-weather, outdoor deck to enjoy those warmer, Goldy afternoons.

“Where some pubs have a beer garden, we now have a sun-soaked deck right in time for the summer months,” Venue Manager Pamela Quinn said.

“It’s the perfect meeting place for an after-work knock-off or a casual pub meal with friends, where you can relax in shaded comfort and enjoy the sun rays through leafy surrounds. It’s basically our pub’s oasis!”

To launch the new dining and drinking space, the venue is giving customers a chance to enter and win $200 to enjoy a cold drink, a good meal and the new fresh-air pub vibes.

“We’re so excited to show everyone our new outdoor deck, it really is the perfect addition as we head into the summer,” Ms Quinn said.
