A Gold Coast cricket club has been left devastated after heartless e-bike vandals wreaked havoc on their home ground.
The vandals ripped through the pitch at the Surfers Paradise Cricket Club sometime on Monday, leaving massive wheelie marks and turning the turf into a mud pit.
The club claims the destruction has ruined over 100 hours’ worth of work from volunteers who give up their time to maintain the pitch.
Cricket Gold Coast has now been forced to find alternative venues for cricket games scheduled for this weekend as they desperately try and repair the turf.
A Queensland Police spokesperson says no report has been made to police at this stage.
