A major investigation is underway after a devastating house fire claimed the lives of two people in Logan.
Flames ripped through the two-storey Queenslander in Kingston around 3pm on Tuesday, with the blaze taking multiple fire crews over an hour to extinguish.
Two people, including a 63-year-old woman and a male family friend, were found deceased inside the property.
The woman’s husband and their three children managed to escape.
A crime scene has been declared as investigations into the cause of the fire get underway.
Anyone with information or vision is being urged to come forward.
