Driver fined after removal truck crashes into backyard swimming pool

There’s been dramatic scenes in Ashmore this afternoon after a removalists truck filled with furniture ended up in a backyard swimming pool.

The 2022 Hino 616 Pantechnicon lost control along Ashmore Road around midday before crashing through a fence and landing in the pool.

Thankfully no one was injured, however the driver of the truck has been fined.

The 23-year-old has been issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for failing to maintain proper control of vehicle.

A crane has been tasked to the scene to help remove the truck from the pool.
