A large fire has broken out on the median strip on the M1 at Helensvale.
The blaze erupted around 1.20pm, with several crews now on scene to douse the flames.
It’s taken over around ten metres of grass and also engulfed three trees.
Traffic is already being heavily delayed in both directions.
Motorists are urged to be on alert as heavy smoke plumes across the highway.
