Four teenage boys have been arrested after allegedly stealing two luxury cars and taking them on a dangerous joyride across the Gold Coast and Logan.

The wild scenes unfolded around 12.40pm on Sunday, when a grey Maserati and black Porsche were stolen from a home along Waitomo Street in Broadbeach Waters.

Police spotted the vehicles a short time later heading east on the Logan Motorway before Polair was called in to track the cars as they headed southbound on the M1.

The chase came to a dramatic end around 3.30pm, when the Maserati became stuck on a median strip in Nerang, with officers able to pounce on the two teenagers inside.

The Porsche was also stopped a short time later after it turned into a culdesac in Arundel, where another two teenagers were taken into custody.

All four teens have since been charged with a string of offences.
