A Gold Coast woman has suffered serious injuries in a horror scooter crash while visiting Bali for a friend’s wedding.
Amy Donohue was hospitalised following the accident, and her medical bills have already surpassed $30,000 with costs continuing to rise.
To help ease the financial strain, her friends have launched a GoFundMe campaign to fund a safe medical evacuation back to Australia.
“Amy is so incredibly loved, and right now we just want her surrounded by the people who love her most,” Laura Williams said in the fundraiser.
“For Amy, her family and everyone who loves her, the only priority right now is making sure she receives the care she needs and gets home safely”.
Organisers say donations will go directly toward Amy’s ongoing medical care and bringing her home safely to be surrounded by her loved ones.
