Gold Coast home destroyed in early morning inferno

A Gold Coast home has been destroyed after a ferocious fire tore through the property in the early hours of this morning.

The blaze erupted at the Glenrowan Drive home in Tallai around 12.30am, with multiple emergency crews rushing to the scene.

The inferno engulfed both the house and a nearby garage, causing significant damage to both structures.

The owner of the property suffered minor burns and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition

Fire investigators are expected to return to the scene this morning to try and determine the cause.

However, police have confirmed it’s not being treated as suspicious at this stage, with investigators probing whether candles may be to blame.
