Police are investigating after a man was robbed at knifepoint in an online sale gone wrong at Nerang this morning.
The 21-year-old had organised to meet up with a man he had spoken to on social media for the purpose of selling four luxury watches.
The pair arranged to meet in the carpark of a fast-food restaurant on Hinkler Drive, however when the 21-year-old entered the buyer’s vehicle, the man produced a knife and forced him to hand over the watches.
The seller then jumped out of the vehicle, which was last seen fleeing on Pappas Way.
Investigations are ongoing.
