Lucky escape for truck driver in Gold Coast hinterland

A truck driver has avoided serious injury following a nasty crash in Tamborine Mountain.

His truck crashed and rolled towards a cliff along Eagle Heights Road and Geissmann Drive just after 1pm today.

The vehicle was luckily stopped by several trees before the steep drop-off.

He managed to self-extricate and was assessed by paramedics at the scene.

He’s been transported to Gold Coast Uni Hospital in a stable condition.
