A man has been flown to hospital after falling off a boat on the northern Gold Coast.

The man, aged in his 60s, is believed to have fallen overboard in Jacobs Well around 4.45pm on Monday.

According to Queensland Ambulance, the man then became stuck in mud at a location off Pimpama Jacobs Well Road.

He suffered leg injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted by rescue helicopter to Gold Coast University Hospital.

A QAS spokesperson confirmed the man was transported in a stable condition.
