A man has been arrested following a dramatic incident at a bowls club on the Gold Coast.
The 57-year-old Gilston man is accused of smashing his ute into the glass front doors of the Musgrave Hills Bowls Club in Southport around 3.15pm on Monday.
He’s also accused of assaulting a 48-year-old man who suffered minor injuries, before removing his clothing and running through the streets naked.
The man was eventually taken into custody by police and has since been charged with a string of offences including one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, one count of wilful damage, and one count of assault.
He’s also been charged with one count of wilful exposure and one count of serious assault of a police officer.
The man is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court today.
