An unlicensed driver has been charged over an alleged drunken crash in Surfers Paradise.
A blue Holden Commodore is alleged to have hit another vehicle at a roundabout at the intersection of Thomas Drive and Anembo St just before midnight on Sunday.
The Commodore didn’t stop at the site of the accident but was intercepted by Police a short time later on Burra St.
The driver, a 20-year-old man allegedly returned a positive roadside breath test before being taking into custody.
The Nerang man has since been charged with one count each of evasion offence at night, drive motor vehicle whilst over the middle alcohol limit but not over the high alcohol limit and driving of motor vehicle without a driver license.
He is due to front Southport Magistrates Court on May 23.
