A driver has been rushed to hospital after crashing his car into a home in Mudgeeraba.
The man suffered a life-threatening medical episode while behind the wheel just before 9am Wednesday, causing him to plough through the front of a home along Palomino Drive.
He was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital, with critical care and high acuity response paramedics on board.
A QAS spokesperson wasn’t able to confirm the man’s age.
Nobody inside the house at the time was injured, but the property has sustained significant damage.
Three fire crews also rushed to the scene and are working to stabilise the structure before removing the vehicle.
