Movie World has confirmed it’s open as normal today following a fire scare yesterday.
Fire crews were called to the Oxenford theme park around 4.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a blaze.
Upon arrival, they found a small fire in a building next to The Roxy Theatre.
A Village Roadshow Theme Parks spokesperson confirmed the area was cleared while crews quickly doused the flames.
“Our highly trained operations and security teams cleared the area until the Queensland Fire Department (QFD) arrived on-site and contained the fire,” they said.
“Due to the location of the fire, two QFD trucks entered via Movie World’s Main St to access and extinguish the fire, which was completed in a very brief time frame.”
Queensland Ambulance paramedics also attended the scene, but no one was injured.
