Police probe after hit-and-run crash in Surfers Paradise

Police are hunting a driver following an alleged hit-and-run crash in Surfers Paradise overnight.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Higman Street and Main Beach Parade around 10pm following reports a Hyundai Tucson had entered a construction site and crashed into a structure.

Fortunately, there were no reports of any injuries as a result of the crash.

The person behind the wheel of the car fled the scene on foot police arrived, with officers now working to track them down.

They’re appealing for anyone with relevant mobile phone or dashcam vision to come forward as they continue investigations circumstances leading up to the crash.
