Gold Coast City Council has announced support for ratepayers amidst the Christmas and New Year severe weather events.
Rates notices and water bills will be postponed two weeks.
The next planned water bill was due to be issued on 8 January – they will now be sent out on 22 January.

City of Gold Coast CEO Tim Baker says the City is conscious of the impacts the weather events have had on ratepayers.
“If you are experiencing difficulties in paying your notice by the due date, you are encouraged to contact us to discuss payment options,” Mr Baker says.
“We know this is a very difficult time for residents and this is one small way we can help support our ratepayers in the wake of the storms,
“We urge anyone struggling to pay by the due date to contact the City to arrange a payment plan,
“Our City officers are out in the field offering support and helping clean-up efforts as long as required.”
Community recovery hubs remain open for residents impacted by storms at the Upper Coomera Community Centre, Mudgeeraba Community Centre, Labrador Community Centre and Coombabah State School.
