A Bundall man has fought back tears after learning he had won $100,000 in Monday’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.
The Gold Coast resident, who held the first prize winning entry, cheered when an official from the Lott contacted him to break the news.
“You don’t know how much this means to me,” he said.
“I’m at retirement age but I’ve had to keep working, even while going through a tough time. This is going to help. It’s life-changing for us!
“I’ve dreamt about this call. I’ll ring my wife today. I think she’ll probably feel the same emotions I’m feeling right now.
“Thank you very much.”
The man’s winning entry of two random numbers was purchased via The Lott app.
It comes as lottery officials continue to urge Gold Coast residents to check their tickets, with another $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize remaining unclaimed eight months on.
The winning entry was purchased from The Pines News & Gifts in Elanora.
