A youth offender from Victoria who visited the Gold Coast on a controversial taxpayer funded holiday has allegedly reoffended.

According to Nine News, the now 18-year-old has reportedly been arrested over a number of alleged armed robberies and home invasions in Melbourne.

The teen was one of two youths who visited theme parks and went sight-seeing on the Gold Coast last year for “rehabilitation and to break the cycle of offending”.

That’s despite the teen being sentenced to a community corrections order after being convicted of violent home invasions and carjackings.

The NDIS is still investigating exactly where the funds for the trip came from.

The Victorian Premier previously said it had not been approved by her government, but instead through the correction process.
