Two teens will front court charged over a stolen car chase on the Gold Coast that left a woman in hospital.
POLAIR had been tracking the silver Toyota Camry which had allegedly been stolen from Runcorn in Brisbane.
The vehicle was seen travelling down the M1 before exiting at the Old Pacific Highway.
The Camry then allegedly drove onto the wrong side of the road before colliding with a Toyota Rubuk at a roundabout near Foxwell Rd and Whitewater Way.
The driver of the Rubuk was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with chest injuries.
All five teens inside the Camry, aged between 13 and 17, were also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The alleged driver of the Camry, A 15-year-old boy has since been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, failing to provide a breath specimen, and driving without a licence.
A 13-year-old girl has been charged with three counts of wilful damage and one count of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Both teens will front Southport Children’s Court on Monday.
The other three occupants of the stolen vehicle are expected to receive notices to appear in court in relation to the alleged theft of the car.
