The raids were part of an operation investigating drug trafficking on the Gold Coast, and involved detectives from the Organised Crime Gangs Group.

Six firearms were allegedly found, as well as ammunition, cash and quantities of dangerous drugs, including cocaine and methylamphetamine.

Detective Inspector Craig Bowman from the Organised Crime Gangs Group said the possession of firearms and drugs is a dangerous combination that presents significant risk to police, the community and the people involved.

“The nature of this alleged offending is very concerning. I would like to reassure the community we will continue to direct our specialist resources and capabilities and take all available actions to keep the community safe from harm.”

Five men and one woman have been charged, they include a 25-year-old Edens Landing man, a 26-year-old Surfers Paradise man, a 25-year-old Surfers Paradise woman, two 20-year-old men from Biggera Waters and a 27-year-old Reedy Creek man.
