A man is in a serious condition in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a woman at a Gold Coast home.
Police were called to a property in Guanaba around 10pm on Wednesday night after receiving reports of a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they found a 54-year-old man with stab wounds to his neck.
He was rushed to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A 53-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was taken into custody at the scene.
She was since been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence offence).
She was denied police bail and will appear in Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
