A Logan man has been charged after allegedly leading police on a stolen car chase which came to a crashing end overnight.
The 29-year-old learner driver allegedly evaded police in Brisbane’s southern suburbs while behind the wheel of a stolen Ford around 10pm on Monday.
During the man’s escapades, he allegedly smashed into a silver Mercedes-Benz C250 and a blue Volkswagen T-roc, leaving the drivers with minor injuries.
The man then ditched the vehicle and fled the scene but was arrested a short time later and was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
He’s since been charged with a string of offences including one count each of evading police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, driving without a driver licence.
He’s also facing one count of using a vehicle for which a number plate attached is granted for another vehicle, learner driver must be properly supervised, learner driver must not drive unless L plate displayed, vehicle not fitted with prescribed interlock, possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon.
The man will appear at Richlands Magistrates Court today.
