Toddler struck and killed by car in Qld

There’s been tragedy on the Sunshine Coast where a toddler has died after being hit by a vehicle.

The boy suffered “significant traumatic injuries” after being struck at a private address in Sippy Downs around 4.30pm on Monday.

Queensland Ambulance confirmed the child was assessed in a life-threatening condition but sadly could not be revived and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating and is appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing.
