A man has died in a horror motorbike crash south of the Qld-NSW border.
Emergency crews were called to Tyalgum Creek Road at Tyalgum around 7pm on Sunday following reports a rider had been thrown from his motorcycle after crashing into a tree stump.
Witnesses performed CPR but sadly the rider could not be revived and died at the scene.
Whilst yet to be formally identified, the male rider is believed to be aged in his mid-50’s.
Officers from the Tweed/Byron Police District established a crime scene and have commenced investigations into the crash.
They’re appealing for anyone with information, or anyone who was in the area at the time with dashcam/mobile phone footage, to come forward.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
