Police are looking into what caused a massive crash in Mudgeeraba that’s left hundreds of homes in the area without power.
A vehicle ploughed into a power pole along Wallandra Drive just before 11pm on Monday, with the impact of the crash causing the pole to snap in two.
According to police, the female driver managed to escape with minor injuries.
Over 140 properties in Mudgeeraba and Tallai remain in the dark this morning, with Energex crews working to restore power as soon as possible.
