Charges have finally been laid against a man several months after he was shot by police in Logan.

Officers were called to a home on Wembley Road around 8pm on March 21 following reports of a disturbance involving an armed man.

During the incident, officers discharged their firearms, striking the man.

The 27-year-old was transported to hospital for treatment.

Following investigations, the man has since been charged with one count each of wilful damage, receiving tainted property, serious assault police officer whilst pretending/is armed with a weapon, possessing dangerous drugs and going armed so as to cause fear.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 27.

The Ethical Standards Command is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission.
