This year’s Blues on Broadbeach Festival has been labelled a huge success after a massive four days of live music.

Tens of thousands of people turned out between Thursday and Sunday to catch a glimpse of the 76 artists performing across 18 stages.

Aussie music legend Ian Moss was a major highlight of the festival, with huge crowds in Kurrawa Park on Friday night as he belted out hits from Cold Chisel and his solo career.

The festival closed out on Sunday night with a sold-out performance by The Teskey Brothers.

Experience Gold Coast Festival Director Mark Duckworth says the atmosphere has been awesome.

“The weekend’s just been fantastic. There’s been people everywhere. Just great music all around and everyone having such a good time,” Duckworth said.

“And then obviously to finale that last night with a sold-out show from The Teskey Brothers right here in Kurrawa Park has just been amazing for our 25th birthday.”

The festival was another boon for the city, with bars and restaurants pumping across Broadbeach all weekend.

While final numbers are still being tallied, it’s expected that this year’s crowd numbers will be close to the 130,000 that turned out last year.

“It’s been heaving. Restaurants have been packed, bars have been packed, there are people everywhere. And selling out a show last night just shows how many people are coming to this thing,” Duckworth said.
