Police have come under attack from a group of juveniles accused of ripping up a Gold Coast sporting field with e-bikes and damaging facilities.
Officers were called to the sports field in Runaway Bay around 5pm on Thursday.
Between 10 and 15 juveniles on non-compliant e-bikes had allegedly damaged the field and a toilet block while also engaging in anti-social behaviour.
When Police arrived, the juveniles surrounded their patrol car, attempting to spray the vehicle with rocks and trying to open the doors of the vehicle.
Officers were forced to call for back-up, but by the time more Police arrived, the youth had fled.
Investigations are continuing.
