A 19-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences after he allegedly lead police on a stolen car chase from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
Officers spotted the stolen silver 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan station wagon around 12.30am on Sunday and tracked it south.
The male driver eventually ditched the car on on Waterclover Drive at Upper Coomera, before he was picked up by a second vehicle travelling in convoy which police continued to track to a Pimpama residence.
The alleged Volkswagen driver was then arrested at that property around 1.20am.
A 19-year-old Pimpama man has since been charged with unlawful use of motor vehicles, receiving tainted property, driving of motor vehicle without a driver licence and disobeying the speed limit.
He is scheduled to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on June 16.
Police will allege the car was stolen from a home in Indooroopilly which was broken into around 4.30am on Friday.
