A Queensland Police Service senior constable has been charged with several offences including rape and assault allegedly committed while off-duty.

The 32-year-old man from the Emergency Response and Coordination Command has been suspended from the force.

He’s expected to appear in the Brisbane District Court in February 2027 for trial.

The member has been charged with two counts of common assault, and one count each of unlawful and indecent assault, and rape.

“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when a member of the Service faces serious allegations of misconduct,” a QPS statement reads.

“This does not mean that the allegations against the member have been substantiated.”

QPS hasn’t revealed when or where the alleged incident took place.
