A major manhunt is underway this morning following a shocking hit-and-run in Logan that’s left a young man dead.
The 20-year-old was struck by a vehicle along Middle Road at Greenbank around 8.45pm on Monday.
The man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.
Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene before emergency crews arrived.
“The driver and occupants of the vehicle involved were not located at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Enquiries are continuing to identify all persons involved and establish the full circumstances leading up to the fatality”.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or may have relevant dashcam, mobile phone footage or CCTV, to come forward.
Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash remain ongoing.
