A major homicide investigation is underway after the body of a woman was discovered inside a home in Logan early this morning.
Emergency crews made the shock find after being called to reports of an alleged assault at a property in Slacks Creek around 12.30am.
“A woman in her 20s was located unresponsive and declared deceased at the scene,” Queensland Police said.
A 37-year-old Slacks Creek man was arrested at the scene and is currently assisting police with inquiries.
“The man and woman were known to each other however we are unable to comment further on their relationship at this stage,” police said.
A crime scene has been declared at the property and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death are underway.
