Gold Coast turns up the heat for Spring

Winter is officially making way for warmer days on the Gold Coast, with the region set to heat up right on schedule as Spring arrives this week.

Clear skies and sunshine will dominate the forecast starting Wednesday, marking a welcome shift away from the cooler winter months.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, temperatures will steadily climb before soaring to a warm 30 degrees by Saturday.

The sunny conditions will carry right through the weekend, with Sunday dipping only slightly to a high of 29 degrees.

However, overnight lows will remain around a brisk 12-14 degrees.
