Investigations are underway after a man was stabbed in the heart of Southport.
Police were called to a unit on Scarborough Street around 5.30am on Thursday following reports a man had suffered a wound to his face.
“The man has told police he was in the parkland at Southport a short period earlier when, he alleges, he was wounded by another man,” Queensland Police said.
The man was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following investigations, police located a second man in the parkland who was also taken to hospital for treatment for a wound to his hand.
He remains under police guard as investigations continue.
Police say they’re still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
